ZeeOps have arrived

Munzee has just introduced a new part of the game called ZeeOps. Basically ZeeOps consist of Operations that are spread over multiple days. Each day you can perform one Mission. There is a cost to each Operation – you have to have enough Zee Creds to start an Operation. So a Advanced Operation will consist of 7 Missions over 7 days and cost 50 Zee Creds ($10 worth).

I’ve summarized ZeeOps’ costs and rewards for each Operation.

Operation Cost
ZeeCreds / $$
Rewards Rewards Value
Basic
3 days
Level 1 Missions
25 / $5 1 diamond, 2 virtuals and 2 virtual colors, with 5 Zee Creds $10*
Advanced
7 days
Level 1 & 2 Missions
50 / $10 1 diamond, 1 amethyst, 2 MVM and 2 virtual colors, with 10 Zee Creds $25*
Mega
10 days
Level 1, 2 & 3 Missions**
100 / $20 1 diamond, 1 ruby, 1 sapphire, 1 amethyst, 5 MVM and 5 virtual colors, with 25 Zee Creds $56.50*
Ultra
14 days
Level 1, 2, 3 & 4 Missions***
250 / $50 2 diamond, 2 ruby, 2 sapphire, 2 amethyst, 5 MVM and 5 virtual colors, with 50 Zee Creds $83*
* Retail value of reward items: Diamonds $5, Amethyst $6, Ruby $5.50 (ebay), Sapphire $5 (unknown, assuming $5), Virtuals $1 (unknown, assuming $1), Virtual Colors $1, MVM $5, Zee Cred $0.20 (each)

** Player must choose a minimum of two Level 3 Missions

*** Player must choose a minimum of two Level 3 Missions and two Level 4 Missions

So it appears the best value (Rewards to Cost ratio) is the Mega Op.

But how much work is required to complete an Op? For that, we need to go to the Missions List. For Basic and Advanced Ops, the available missions are, for the most part, pretty easy. Level 3 missions are still fairly easy in regions with lots of players. Level 4 missions are the most challenging and may be out of reach for some players in less-developed game regions.

Mission comments

Level Name Mission Comments
1 Basic Training Earn at least 500 points This should be easy to do for just about everyone. I’ve been playing the game long enough that I get at least 500 cap-on points most days
1 Defensive Training Deploy at least 10 munzees This is pretty easy.
1 Offensive Training Capture at least 25 munzees Again, pretty easy.
1 Undercover Training Capture 1 event indicator pin Now I’m not sure why I’d ever want to use this Mission. If I’m attending an event somewhere, I’m probably going to schedule either Advanced Training (Earn at least 10,000 points) or Expert Training (Earn at least 50,000 points).
1 Weapons Training Capture at least 10 clan weapons This one’s pretty easy too
2 Group Training Earn at least 500 cap-on points This one’s pretty easy if you’ve been playing the game for any length of time
2 AIRial Pursuit Capture exactly 23 munzees AND deploy exactly 23 munzees This one takes some careful planning and keeping track of your activity, but isn’t very hard to do
2 Precious Stone Stockpiler Capture at least 20 jewels. This one’s pretty easy too
2 Spurious Stones Deploy at least 5 jewels This is the first of the Missions that has any cost associated with it. If you’ve been playing Clan Wars for any length of time, you probably have some of these in your Credits.
2 Virtual Surreality Capture at least 100 virtual munzees of any type This one’s going to require some planning serious planning. I know I can’t do it in my home town – I’ve capped most of the Virtuals there. But I can drive about an hour and find more than enough to complete this Mission.
3 Advanced Training Earn at least 10,000 points This one’s going to take some work!
3 Breaking and Capturing Capture at least 25 jewels AND deploy at least 5 jewels This one’s not too difficult, but does have a cost associated with it. If you’ve been playing Clan Wars for any length of time, you probably have some of these in your Credits.
3 From The Outside In Deploy at least 50 greenies This one’s pretty easy
3 Interrogation Practices Capture at least 100 greenies This one’s pretty easy too
3 Virtual Virus Capture at least 500 virtual munzees of any type This one’s going to require some planning serious planning. I know I can’t do it in my home town – I’ve capped most of the Virtuals there. But I can drive about an hour and find more than enough to complete this Mission. I may have to drive two hours away to find enough Virtuals to complete this Mission.
4 Expert Training Earn at least 50,000 points This one’s going to be pretty tough to complete unless you live in an area with lots of high-value virtuals and you have a lot of Blast Caps handy.
4 Intelligence Infiltration Deploy at least 100 greenies This one’s going to take a couple of hours to complete. I’ve done it once to earn the badge with the same requirements.
4 Jumbling Jewels Deploy at least 20 jewels This one’s definitely got a cost associated with it. If you’ve been playing Clan Wars for any length of time, you probably have some of these in your Credits, but maybe not 20 of them.
4 The Emerald Cities Capture at least 100 Emerald munzees This one will require some travel. You’re going to have to go find one of the Emerald Gardens with more than 100 Emeralds in it. So the Seattle Emerald Garden won’t work for example.
4 Zee Only Hope Capture at least 200 physical type munzees This one’s not too difficult – just takes time.

I’m sure I’ll have more details to add as time goes on. I’ll update this post if I do.

    1. I haven’t heard anything yet. I’m thinking there might be a badge per completed Mission. That’s 20 badges right there…. But they’re also planning on changing things up each month, so maybe not. Maybe it will be badges for completing different Level missions. Kinda like the badges for capping Mythologicals. The more missions you complete at each level, the higher the badge you get for that level?
